I have today discovered that my rheumatologist has left post in Kettering. Not from the hospital letting me know obviously but from a fellow patient who needed an urgent appointment. My next review isn't until October. As I moved to Northampton 3 years ago I am now thinking this may be the moment to start to see a rheumatologist down here. Does anyone have any experience of the rheumatology department in Northampton?
Any help greatfully received
Thanks
Sally

Hi Sally

I go to the one at Kettering and they just have a locum there now, all it I haven't met him yet.

I haven't been to the one at Northampton, but my GP says they are good up there as she has refered a few people there.

If you go on the NHS choice website and search for Northampton hospital you can see if anyone has put any reviews about the rheumatology dept.

I see Dr Jeffery at Northampton hospital and find her very good, she always listens to what I have to say and is good about ordering x-rays, tests etc if needed. I only see her once a year now that I'm 'controlled' but there is a nurse helpline. They always get back to you fairly quickly and will call you in to see them if they can't advise over the phone. All in all I've been happy with the treatment I've received there over the past 3 years.
